Flip Book & World AIDS Day
I know Alison also already posted about this on her blog, but I want to reiterate that everyone has to check out Ed Kashi's brilliant virtual "flip book"-style piece called "Iraqi Kurdistan." Ed and Brian Storm premiered this show at the Eddie Adams workshop and I was blown away then and am again now that I see the complete piece. Keep in mind that all of this is still images. No video involved. Just a bad-ass motor drive.
Also, in honor of World AIDS Day and also just because it too is an incredible piece, check out Kristen Ashburn's (another incredible photog present at Eddie Adams who showed some of this work there) "Bloodline."
And in addition, Washingtonpost.com is featuring an interactive today called "A Living HIV Quilt." The more we learn and see of this epidemic, the more likely we are to prevent its spread and change the dire situation that exists today.
