Shenandoah

The weekend before last, Brad and I headed down to the Shenandoah mountains for a weekend escape. We did plenty of hiking, starting at Old Rag (agreed the best hike we have both ever done), then driving to Big Meadows where we camped for more hikes on the Rose River and Lewis trails. Big Meadows was full of wildlife unafraid of the many people staying on the site - deer in particular. Brad seemed to think these deer were no big deal, but I have to admit, I was really excited to be 3 feet away from a descendant of Bambi. Anyway, here are some photos snapped on our mini-adventure:
